At Edelman, Dana leads accounts for Novartis, Sanofi-Genzyme, GSK, AstraZeneca, Merck Canada Inc. Her extensive experience includes work in a diverse number of therapeutic areas including neurology, rheumatoid arthritis, atopic dermatitis, mental health, chronic pain, digestive health, cardiovascular health and diabetes. Throughout her career, Dana has worked with stakeholder groups including the Eczema Society of Canada, Crohn's and Colitis Canada, PKD Foundation of Canada, Kidney Foundation of Canada and the Arthritis Society. On behalf of her clients, she and her teams have been recognized in Canada and internationally with industry awards from the Canadian Public Relations Society, the International Association of Business Communicators and the Canadian Marketing Association. Dana also serves as the Canadian lead for GWEN, Edelman’s Global Women’s Equality Network.

Her expertise encompasses accessibility, inclusion, and diversity initiatives for both media and government organizations Diagnosed with FSH Muscular Dystrophy (a progressive, muscle-wasting disease) at the age of 21, Lalji transformed her personal journey into a powerful platform for advocacy in the realm of equity, diversity, and inclusion. She champions accessibility through universal design, and challenges societal misconceptions surrounding individuals with disabilities. Residing in New Westminster, Lalji remains actively engaged in the community, particularly in matters pertaining to affordable housing, disability rights, community building, and muscular dystrophy research. She also conducts accessibility audits for local businesses. Beyond her professional endeavors, Lalji exhibits an unyielding commitment to personal growth, evident in her pursuits of learning, travel, culinary experiences, accessible adventures and writing.

Dr. Chandrasena has a wealth of digital health knowledge and experience in the Ontario health care system. As a comprehensive family doctor for over 20 years, and as OntarioMD's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Chandrasena provides the clinical perspective to inform and advise on current and future digital health products and services for Ontario clinicians to add increasing value to patient care.

She is a member of the Ontario Medical Association Burnout Taskforce and has a passion for alleviating digital burden and advocating for the use of technology more efficiently. She has a special interest in the humanity of medicine and how it is often lost with the use of technology. Dr. Chandrasena has been featured in a number of podcasts and news articles that discuss/advocate for optimizing technology that both alleviates digital burden and enhances more personalized care.

Dr. Chandrasena is a national speaker, emcee and moderator for digital health, technology and burnout.

An Associate Professor at Ivey Business School, Laurel teaches courses on decision making under risk and uncertainty. Her research focuses on understanding and improving decision making and risk management, especially related to health and safety. She leads a team of researchers at Western University in study of the rapid shift to “digital first health care” during the pandemic. This includes a close look at digital triage tools introduced during COVID, including study of physician and patient experiences with those. She’s also interviewed physicians and patients to understand the impacts of the sudden shift to virtual care during pandemic. In other work she is researching youth vaping decisions and behaviours.

Laurel has worked with several public health agencies to understand people’s decisions and behaviours, including Public Health Agency of Canada, US Food and Drug Administration, US National Libraries of Medicine, and Ontario’s Electrical Safety Authority. Prior to joining Ivey she was an Associate Professor of Strategic Decision Making and Risk Management at Copenhagen Business School and had a research affiliation with the Research Unit for General Practice, Department of Public Health, University of Copenhagen. In executive education she teaches programs on ‘Data Informed Leadership’ and ‘Strategic Thinking and Decision Making.’

She brings with her many years of experience assisting with the development of IT infrastructure and IT Strategy projects across the Canadian Healthcare system and holds a Bachelors of Electrical and Biomedical Engineering as well as a Masters of Science in Electronic Health from McMaster University.

In this role, she manages the research agenda for TELUS Health, which includes primary research, exploratory data science, research collaborations and meta-analyses. Her focus is on: discovering, defining and communicating industry trends; service development that aligns with emerging market needs; and supporting TELUS Health’s clients with insights and data-driven decision guidance. Allen is a well-recognized expert in all areas of workplace mental health, learning strategies, disability management and drug plan management.

As the CEO of Gotcare, she is transforming how healthcare in the home is delivered regardless of your postal code, including service to over 100 remote communities. Having scaled rapidly across the country, Gotcare has been recently named one of Canada's fastest growing companies in 2023 by The Globe and Mail. Chenny also plays several advisory roles - she was previously a member of Ontario's Task Force on Women and The Economy, and currently is standardizing care economy impact metrics through 2X Global, and advancing women and non-binary led entrepreneurship through Coralus (formerly SheEO).

He moved to Nova Scotia in 2007 where he continued to pursue his passion for quality, patient safety, and person-centered care. Matt has focused his passion by collaborating with teams, patients and families to develop the Renal Program quality framework, lead the Central Zone through the first Nova Scotia Health Authority Accreditation survey, and improve access and quality of care within the Mental Health and Addictions Program.

She has also developed a privacy program for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses for the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, Government of Canada, including consultation across Canadian jurisdictions. Previously, Angela was the Director of Data Ethics & Privacy at the Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Health Information, leading the e-Health transition and the development of a provincial data governance framework for Newfoundland & Labrador. Angela has a Masters in Health Ethics and is an Interdisciplinary Ph.D. candidate focusing on the ethics of AI and health innovation and teaches ethics in the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University.

In her law practice as Counsel at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, Janet maintains a legal practice
with a focus on the health industry. Janet is passionate about the evolution and transformation of healthcare in Canada, and she provides guidance to clients on Canada’s regulatory legal landscape. Janet works with healthcare providers ranging from start-ups to
large hospitals and institutions. Janet has solid expertise in privacy, data security and technology law. As former general counsel to a large full-service health clinic, Janet’s expertise includes risk management, operational strategy, and patient and healthcare provider interactions. Janet’s background in specialty and cyber insurance, along with incident response management, rounds out her practice.

She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional and Ph.D. scholar with extensive knowledge of privacy law, privacy compliance, research ethics and data governance with experience working in healthcare and research sectors. In her current role, Christina assists in championing several of HHS’ strategic operations and providing leadership support to staff in
many aspects of privacy risk and compliance management.
