  Sara Ahmed, PT, PhD, is a professor in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at McGill University and a researcher at the Centre for Research and Evaluation of Outcomes (CORE) at the RI-MUHC and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation (CRIR). She is the Scientific Director of the FRQS Digital Health Network, which aims to advance the training of the next generation of scientists and innovators and accelerate the development, implementation, and evaluation of digital health innovations. She leads a person-centred digital health research program and is the Scientific Director of the BRILLIANT Learning Health Community project (https://www.brilliant-cfi.ca), part of a network of international Living Labs and Open Science initiatives. The project won the 2025 Prix Hippocrate for Digital Transformation, and its Patient Timeline earned Digital Health Canada's 2026 Data, Interoperability and Infrastructure Award.
