Reports to: Director, Membership and e-Health Sales
Status: One-year contract (materity leave)
Location: Work from home in the Greater Toronto Area

Salary Range: 53,000 – 58,000 annually

Overview of the position
The Member Engagement Specialist plays a key role in supporting member experience, engagement, and organizational initiatives. This position works collaboratively across departments to coordinate member communications, volunteer engagement, and programming for academic institutional members. The role also maintains member information and engagement through the association management system and website, responds to member inquiries, and provides administrative support to help ensure the effective delivery of association services and programs.
Key Responsibilities
The Member Engagement Specialist is responsible for:
- Initiate and manage membership renewals.
- Working with Director of Membership Sales to onboard new members.
- Working with Manager, Communication to announce new members and create member and volunteer recognition.
- Working with member volunteers to ensure they are matched with a suitable volunteer role.
- Working with Academic Group Members (colleges and universities) to support programming and communications.
- Reporting on membership status, creating member engagement and volunteer reports.
- Monitoring member information and engagement in the association management system and member area of the website.
- Hosting weekly office hours via Team meeting.
- Responding to member inquiries.
- General administrative support and other duties as required.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must be able to hit the ground running and be ready to fully support the Digital Health Canada member community. The ideal candidate possesses:
- University or college degree
- 3-5 years demonstrated experience in association management or volunteer coordination
- Strong business communication/plain language writing skills
- Experience with online member management systems.
- Problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently at home (you have a dedicated workspace with reliable wifi, cell phone, and solid time management skills)
