Evidence2Practice Ontario – Bridging Gaps in Care for Sickle Cell Disease in the ED
Evidence2Practice Ontario drives digital implementations into systems across hospitals in Ontario to support clinicians in delivering high-quality care for various clinical conditions. The program partnered with four hospitals to digitize pathways in the emergency department so patients with Sickle Cell Disease can receive evidence-based treatments quickly, effectively, and with discrimination-free compassion.

Vithu Kugathasan is a Manager of Digital Health Projects at North York General Hospital and the Program Manager for Evidence2Practice Ontario, leading acute care implementations focused on digitizing quality standards to support clinicians in providing quality care at the point of care.
