Faten embodies the spirit of excellence, innovation, and leadership in the digital health sector. Her impressive track record, unwavering dedication, and visionary leadership makes her an exceptionally deserving recipient of the Women Leaders in Digital Health Awards.

Faten has been the champion of innovating of how we deliver better care globally and in a manner that is accessible and equitable for one and all. This innovation has been spun off of WeUsThem and Faten now also heads up HealthEMe as its CEO. A groundbreaking startup that has rapidly expanded its innovative footprint across markets worldwide, it is redefining how we deliver care and how we support our loved ones. Under her leadership, the innovation of HealthEMe has gotten it to be named One of Canada’s Top 10 Most Innovative Businesses.

She led the build-up of the first Acute Care Research Unit in Emergency Medicine at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. Not only that, she also spearheaded the roll-out of the largest technology implementation east of Ontario for specialists and primary care providers in our community with the Province of Nova Scotia’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR), powered by Telus Health. Faten is one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women and has been inducted into the Hall of Fame.

From championing women’s causes to mentoring mid-senior executive women across the country to women owned businesses, Faten is helping chart paths for young professionals and seasoned leaders alike.
