I am committed to a second term serving the CHIEF Executive Forum Advisory Committee because of the tremendous benefit I have seen in fostering debate and searching for solutions with private and public sector partners.
I am particularly motivated by the opportunity to: advance responsible and evidence-driven adoption of AI and digital tools in clinical care; foster cross-jurisdictional collaboration to reduce duplication and accelerate scale; and contribute to national dialogue on digital health governance, workforce readiness, and system accountability.
I am motivated to help ensure the CHIEF Executive Forum reflects a diversity of executive voices and market perspectives while continuously evolving to remain influential, credible, and responsive to the needs of the digital healthcare sector.
I feel strongly that the diverse experiences I have will meaningfully identify ways in which the CHIEF Executive Forum can continue to provide value to all of the different personas across these different areas of the health system (care providers, government and vendors).
I am committed to a second term serving the CHIEF Executive Forum Advisory Committee because of the tremendous benefit I have seen in fostering debate and searching for solutions with private and public sector partners. I have also seen great benefit from the initiatives led from CHIEF that help shape actions in emerging areas of investment, such as the AI initiatives database or the current work on learning health systems.
From my position at Amplify Care, a not-for-profit partner to governments across Canada, I bring a unique perspective as a broker of public-private partnerships supporting healthcare from the position of primary care and integrated care. As more health systems build reinforced foundations built on stronger primary care, CHIEF will benefit from moving conversations forward to better enable communication and data exchange that support that foundation.
I am motivated to join the CHIEF Executive Forum Advisory Committee to contribute to shaping the next phase of digital health transformation in Canada—one that moves beyond strategy into measurable, system-wide impact.
Through my work leading BC provincial initiatives in clinical informatics, AI deployment, and healthcare transformation, I have seen both the promise of digital health and the persistent gap between innovation and scalable implementation. Canada has no shortage of ideas or pilot projects; the challenge lies in translating these into sustainable, trusted, and high-value solutions that improve patient outcomes, provider experience, and system performance.
The CHIEF Executive Forum represents a unique platform to convene senior leaders across jurisdictions to address these challenges collectively.
At this stage of my career, I am increasingly focused on influencing system-level change. Contributing to this advisory committee aligns strongly with my commitment to ensuring that digital health investments deliver meaningful value for patients, providers, and the healthcare system.
I bring a combination of frontline clinical insight, system-level leadership, and hands-on experienceimplementing digital and AI solutions at scale.
First, as a practicing clinician and health system leader, I offer a grounded understanding of clinical workflows, provider burden, and the realities of delivering care in complex environments. This perspective ensures that digital strategies remain anchored in real-world clinical needs and adoption challenges.
Second, I have led large-scale digital transformation initiatives, including involvement in the provincial CST-Cerner program and the deployment of AI-enabled tools across multiple health authorities within BC. Most notably, I led a provincial AI scribe initiative supporting 8000 providers, alongside developing governance frameworks, training programs, and evaluation strategies to ensure safe and effective implementation. This experience allows me to contribute practical insights on moving from pilot to scale, including change management, clinician engagement, and performance measurement.
Third, my academic and research work focuses on evaluating the real-world impact of digital health and AI, including developing frameworks to assess return on investment, quality improvement, and workforce implications. I am particularly interested in building learning health systems that convert implementation intogeneralizable evidence to inform policy, clinical practice, and industry partnerships.
Finally, I bring a systems-thinking perspective that bridges clinical care, operations, policy, and innovation. Having worked across healthcare organizations, health systems and provincial programs, and with strategic leadership roles, I am well positioned to contribute to discussions that require alignment across stakeholders and jurisdictions.
Overall, I would contribute a pragmatic, evidence-driven voice focused on ensuring that digital health initiatives are not only innovative, but scalable, measurable, and aligned with the needs of patients and providers.
I am motivated to join the CHIEF Executive Forum Advisory Committee because of my strong belief in the role of executive collaboration in advancing meaningful, system‑level impact for digital health. My career has been focused on leading complex digital health and enterprise transformation initiatives that depend on trusted partnerships, aligned leadership, and a clear shared purpose—objectives that closely align with the Forum’s mandate.
As President & CEO of a shared services organization and Co‑Chair of the Ontario Oracle Health Collaborative representing 63 hospitals, I am actively engaged in shaping strategy, strengthening healthcare–industry partnerships between vendors and providers, and fostering executive dialogue that translates into tangible operational and clinical value. I am particularly motivated by the opportunity to help guide the Advisory Committee content and approach to ensure it remains relevant, influential, and responsive to current on-the-ground priorities, including cyber resilience, large‑scale digital transformation, interoperability, sustainability, and workforce engagement.
My experience leading major Oracle Health implementations during a global pandemic, overseeing the recovery following a significant cyber ransomware event, and collaborating across provincial and national partners has reinforced the importance of diverse executive perspectives and thoughtful program stewardship. I am eager to contribute to member recruitment, exception‑based membership evaluation, and the identification of value‑add partnerships to support the Advisory Committee’s objectives.
Finally, I value the Advisory Committee’s emphasis on continuous improvement, accountability, and active engagement. I look forward to having the opportunity to potentially serve on the CHIEF Executive ForumAdvisory Committee as it continues to support and advance executive leadership within the digital health sector.
I would bring to the CHIEF Executive Forum Advisory Committee a breadth of executive leadership experience that is rooted in deep, practical expertise in large‑scale healthcare IT transformation, shared service operations, system integration, and complex governance.
First, I offer a proven record of enterprise‑level digital health leadership, having led multiple Oracle Health implementations across hospitals during a global pandemic, as well as the coordinated recovery and restoration multiple systems following a major cyber ransomware event. These experiences have required disciplined execution, risk management, and alignment across boards, executive teams, clinicians, vendors, and government partners. As a result, I bring a highly pragmatic perspective to strategic discussions—one that bridges vision with execution and ensures program priorities remain grounded in the realities of the operations of healthcare systems today.
Second, as President & CEO of a shared services organization and Co‑Chair of the Ontario Oracle HealthCollaborative, I bring a system‑builder perspective shaped by sustained collaboration across diverse organizations and market interests. My work is centered on building trust‑based partnerships, aligning competing priorities, and advancing shared outcomes at scale. This experience positions me to contribute meaningfully to the Advisory Committee’s objectives related to executive–corporate partnership development, member recruitment, and identification of value‑add alliances that strengthen the Advisory Committee’s influence and relevance.
Third, I bring strong governance, stewardship, and decision‑making experience, gained through extensive board‑level engagement, budget oversight, and crisis leadership. These capabilities are directly applicable to evaluating exception‑based membership requests, providing thoughtful feedback on program effectiveness, and supporting informed Advisory Committee deliberations with a long‑term, integrity‑driven lens.
In addition, my career progression from clinical practice to executive leadership provides a unique end‑to‑end perspective, allowing me to assess digital health strategy through the lenses of clinical impact, operational sustainability, financial stewardship, and patient outcomes. This enables me to contribute to shaping AdvisoryCommittee content that is both strategically forward‑looking and operationally credible for executive audiences.
Finally, I bring a strong commitment to inclusive leadership, mentorship, and thought leadership, informed by national and provincial committee participation and active engagement in industry forums. I am motivated to help ensure the CHIEF Executive Forum reflects a diversity of executive voices and market perspectives while continuously evolving to remain influential, credible, and responsive to the needs of the digital healthcare sector.
Together, these skills and perspectives would allow me to contribute to the Advisory Committee’s mandate, supporting the continued advancement and impact of the CHIEF Executive Forum Advisory Committee.
Having been a longstanding member of Digital Health Canada (10+ years) and a participant in several Digital Health Canada events (including e-Health and the CHIEF Executive Forum), I’ve seen the tremendous value that the CHIEF Executive Forum provides to those of us working in the sector. I’d like the opportunity to help shape the focus and outcomes of future events to maintain the strong positive impact that Digital Health Canada and the CHIEF ExecutiveForum have been providing for the industry.
I’d also like the opportunity to meet other leaders and individuals across the sector. I believe strongly that we must collaborate across the sector in order to achieve true system transformation to improve care for the future. I see my participation in the CHIEF Executive Forum Advisory Committee as a way to meet and collaborate with other individuals across the system.
I’ve been fortunate to be part of the digital health ecosystem for nearly 20 years in my professional career and during that time have worked across many different settings. I will bring tremendous value to the CHIEF Executive Forum Advisory Committee through my diverse experiences which include working: for a large academic hospital, as a management consultant with a Big 4 firm, for 2 Canadian health technology companies and, most recently, at one of the largest home and community care providers in Canada.
One of the core mandates of the CHIEF Executive Forum is to bring together leaders across different areas of the health system including care providers, government and vendors/solution providers in an open forum to tackle hard questions and work together to solve challenges in our health system. I feel strongly that the diverse experiences I have will meaningfully identify ways in which the CHIEF Executive Forum can continue to provide value to all of the different personas across these different areas of the health system (care providers, government and vendors).
