Volunteer Spotlight: Krystle Siebert

Krystle Sievert volunteered at e-Health 2024 Conference and Tradeshow in Vancouver, helping delegates find sessions, answering questions, and assisting with registration and other invaluable tasks. Volunteering at e-Health is a great way to learn more about the digital health industry and the leaders and innovators dedicated to advancing digital health in Canada.

As a student nurse, I decided to volunteer at e-Health to gain insight into the innovations within the intersection of healthcare and technology. Volunteering in these spaces me enables me to advocate for my patients by ensuring their needs and perspectives are considered as new technologies are developed. Additionally, it has expanded my network, connecting me with industry leaders and fellow healthcare professionals who are equally committed to enhancing patient care through innovation.

Krystle Sievert is one of the first BCIT Bachelor of Science Nursing students to opt for a concurrent Digital Health specialty within the program. Her goals as she enters both the healthcare and technology space is to be an advocate for patients in spaces where their voices may otherwise go unheard.

Volunteering builds experience, contributes to your professional development and learning, and helps you expand your network.
