Shelagh Maloney is an accomplished healthcare executive with a proven track record in portfolios as diverse as business development, stakeholder engagement and governance. She is an excellent facilitator and communicator and has a strong reputation for building strong, results-oriented teams. Most recently, Shelagh was Executive Vice-President at Canada Health Infoway where she was responsible for performance analytics, clinical and patient engagement as well as communications and marketing. She is passionate about the power of digital health and its potential to improve the patient and provider experience.
Throughout her career, Shelagh has volunteered on several boards locally, nationally and internationally including Vice Chair, SNOMED International, Board Director and Chair, People and Culture Committee at Vision Loss Rehab Canada, Board Director, Mississauga Halton Health Integration Network (LHIN) and Board Chair, Digital Health Canada. Shelagh holds a B.Sc. in Applied Health Sciences from the University of Waterloo and is a Certified Professional in Health Information & Management Systems (CPHIMS-CA).
In 2017, Shelagh received the inaugural Women Leaders in Digital Health Award. This award was created to celebrate the top 10 female visionaries who are harnessing the power of IT to transform health and health care in Canada.
I have had the pleasure of working with Shelagh on the planning of many e-Health Conferences and her commitment to providing an excellent, value-for-money conference to our members has always been paramount. She is a recognized leader who has made an impact. She is an excellent role model, especially for young women in the field.
