Not only do I believe “it takes a village” to contribute to the success of any organization, but it’s always easier to criticize than create. By volunteering, I’m striving to stay on the “create” or “take action” side of the line.

Volunteering with Digital Health Canada has been incredibly rewarding. Although I have over 20 years of professional experience in healthcare, when I joined Digital Health Canada I was new to the digital side of the ecosystem and by volunteering I was able to immerse myself in this world, learn new skills and contribute to the organization in a meaningful way. Importantly, volunteering has connected me with industry professionals and peers that I would have otherwise “passed by” at conferences or merely seen on a screen at a webinar. Overall, volunteering with Digital Health Canada been a fulfilling way to grow both personally and professionally.
Volunteering builds experience, contributes to your professional development and learning, and helps you expand your network.
