Maintaining your CPHIMS-CA and other certifications

You worked hard to become a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems-Canada; keep your credentials current with ongoing professional engagement. Certified professionals must accumulate 60 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) before the credential expiration date. If you allow your certificate to expire without getting the required CEUs, you must write and successfully pass the CPHIMS and CA exams again in order to be re-certified.

• Credential holders maintain their CPHIMS-CA certification through the HIMSS portal where printable certificates are available upon logging in and hours are submitted for renewal.
