Read MoreLindsay is a proven healthcare leader who is passionate about improving health outcomes by leveraging innovative solutions, patient/provider experience, and delivering exemplary care to all Nova Scotians. She has been the Chief Clinical Information Officer for Nova Scotia Health/IWK Health since 2022. In this role, she has worked to advance technology-enabled practice and, as one member of a Senior Responsible Owner (SRO) triad, has worked on patient and clinician-centred readiness for OPOR.
This work has been informed by her background as a clinician. A Registered Respiratory Therapist and Certified Clinical Anesthesia Assistant by training, she spent 15 years in front-line, patient-facing care, both as a clinician and as a manager at IWK Health. Additionally, Lindsay holds a Master of Health Informatics from the University of Waterloo. She believes that Nova Scotia is poised to be a leader in digital health through a cohesive provincial strategy, pioneering novel workflows to meet population health needs.
Lindsay believes in servant leadership and is driven by building safety culture for patients and providers, breaking down silos, and health system transformation.

Read MoreDr. Julie Maranda is a bilingual family physician with over 25 years of experience in acute, community, urban, and rural settings. After attending McGill Medical School, she did residency at the University of Toronto where she completed fellowships in academics, in low-risk obstetrics, a Master’s in Health Science, and then went on to become the post-graduate program director at the University Health Network.
Occupying progressive leadership positions, she was chief-of-staff since 2013, and became Vice-President of clinical operations in 2019. She has also taken on many CEO portfolios while in these roles. In her executive functions she has been through several accreditation cycles with exemplary standing, helped lead her hospital through a major construction project, supervised occupational health and infection control practices throughout the pandemic, and implemented a regional electronic medical record system in Eastern Ontario achieving EMRAM 6.
Dr. Maranda is a fellow of the Canadian College of Family Physicians and graduated in 2021 from McMaster University with an eMBA specialized in digital transformation. As the interim CMIO for the Nova Scotia Health Authority she is now working on the One Person One Record CIS implementation.

With a tenure of nearly two decades at Deloitte Consulting US and Deloitte Consulting Canada, Lyn transitioned to TransForm in 2018. There, she assumed responsibility for spearheading the Transformation Office, which included the management of clinical systems, including Oracle Health/Cerner, across the Erie St. Clair region. Her pragmatic yet collaborative approach was instrumental in orchestrating the successful rollout of e-VOLVE, the most expansive clinical transformation initiative in the former Erie St. Clair region. Notably, this included implementing the Cerner Millennium hospital information system amidst the challenges posed by a global pandemic.
Presently, Lyn serves as the co-chair of the Ontario Oracle Health Collaborative, representing 11 instances of Oracle Health spanning 63 hospitals. In this capacity, she co-leads with Project Amplifi in driving the implementation of Ontario eHUB, a pivotal health information exchange (HIE) linking hospitals utilizing Oracle Health and long-term care facilities. The Ontario eHUB facilitates seamless information exchange, empowering healthcare providers with essential insights to support patients throughout their care journeys.
Most recently, Lyn has had to manage through and lead the recovery after a cyber ransomware attack that impacted the five hospitals and TransForm and the patients, families and communities within Southwest Ontario. The team at TranForm in partnership with their members and vendors successfully restored over 150 systems in less than 10 months.
A perpetual learner, Lyn places great emphasis on staying abreast of technological advancements. She diligently fosters a culture of continuous learning within her team, promoting knowledge sharing to drive innovation and excellence in healthcare delivery.

She also maintains multiple industry certifications including CPHIMS-CA, PMP, P2P, Prosci, and ITIL.
Margie has extensive experience across Canada and internationally as a leader in clinical transformation, stakeholder engagement, health information standards, and education, shaping how clinical professions and the healthcare sector adapt and evolve in the digital era. In addition to her roles as Past President of the Canadian Nursing Informatics Association, Margie is the Canadian Representative to the IMIA-NI, is the Vice Chair of Finance & Administration for the IMIA NI Board, and serves on numerous committees for CPHIMS-CA development and exams as well as the Advisory Board for SINI at the University of Maryland. She continues to publish and teach graduate courses in informatics, organizational change management, and nursing philosophy. He has a passion for using the electronic health record (EHR) and associated technologies to benchmark and improve outcomes across all medical specialties and venues of care. He continues to drive intelligence within clinical workflows and support clinical reasoning utilizing data and analytics. He has represented client physicians and clinicians on multiple internal and external committees to influence and ensure today’s solutions are meeting the needs of care providers. Additionally, he has developed and led a number of Physician Programs to serve Cerner’s Physician Community with ongoing Cerner, Oracle, Informatics, and Healthcare education over his long career. Prior to joining Cerner, he was an Assistant Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center and Associate Medical Director of the Community Blood Center of Greater Kansas City. He is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical Engineering and Medical Doctorate (MD). He completed an internship in general surgery and residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at University Hospitals of Cleveland.
