My tenure in leadership positions at prominent healthcare institutions, coupled with my involvement in industry standards development and advocacy, underscores my commitment to advancing the digital health agenda. I bring to the table a wealth of insights gleaned from diverse roles, including my tenure as Vice President at St. Michael’s Hospital, Cisco Systems, and Telus Health. My passion for leveraging technology to drive systemic change, coupled with a steadfast commitment to collaboration and inclusivity, positions me as a catalyst for transformative change within the digital health landscape.

I have been an active member of Digital Health Canada since March 23, 2021, totalling three years of engagement within the organization.
Why do you want to join the Digital Health Canada Board of Directors at this point in your career?

My aspiration to contribute to the Digital Health Canada Board of Directors at this stage in my career stems from my deep-seated commitment to advancing healthcare through digital innovation. As the CEO of OntarioMD, I bring forth a wealth of experience and strategic partnerships within the healthcare ecosystem. My involvement with organizations such as Ontario Health, the Ministry of Health, Canada Health Infoway, and the Ontario Medical Association underscores my dedication to driving systemic change. By joining the Board, I aim to leverage my expertise and network to propel Digital Health Canada towards its strategic objectives and facilitate transformative impact across the industry.

How does your experience align with the Digital Health Canada strategic plan and mandate?

My professional trajectory is closely aligned with Digital Health Canada’s strategic plan and mandate, particularly in areas of member excellence, equity, diversity, and industry leadership. With a diverse background spanning the hospital sector, infrastructure technology, community-based solutions, and system delivery partnerships, I possess the necessary insights to champion initiatives that promote membership growth, equity, and industry leadership. My track record of engagement with industry stakeholders and commitment to advancing digital health positions me as a strategic ally in realizing Digital Health Canada’s vision.

I have been supporting Digital Health Canada by leading presentations on Webinar Wednesday on multiple occasions, by presenting at Up On Digital for three years, and by supporting other requirements directly or through assignment of staff from OMD.

My diverse background is the foundation for understanding how technology can provide for a sustainable healthcare system. I support insights from hospitals, OHTs, Canada Health Infoway priorities, and MOH/Oh with a physician-based lens as a partner of the Ontario Medical Association.

My diverse skill set and extensive experience uniquely position me to contribute meaningfully to the Digital Health Canada Board. With a foundation in health informatics and leadership roles across various sectors, I offer a comprehensive perspective on the intersection of healthcare and technology. My ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments, coupled with a physician-driven lens, enables me to drive consensus and effectuate pragmatic change. Moreover, my commitment to fostering collaboration and inclusivity aligns seamlessly with Digital Health Canada’s objectives, making me an invaluable asset to the Board.
