Why do you want to join the Digital Health Canada Board of Directors at this point in your career?
I seek to join the Board of Directors to leverage my two decades of expertise in digital health transformation and contribute to an organization that stands at the forefront of healthcare innovation. This is a natural progression in my career and Digital Health Canada will allow me to influence digital health on a broader scale. My experience aligns with the need for seasoned leadership to guide digital transformation in Canadian healthcare.

My experience embodies the strategic pillars of Digital Health Canada—member excellence, equity, and industry leadership. With significant roles in driving digital strategy and transformation, my expertise directly contributes to empowering members, advocating for diversity, and advancing healthcare innovation. I’ve led transformative digital projects with a focus on sustainable innovation, workforce empowerment, and strategic growth—all central to Digital Health Canada’s strategic plan.
What unique skills, perspectives and contributions would you bring to the Digital Health Canada Board?
I offer a unique integration of technical acumen, strategic foresight, and a deep commitment to healthcare improvement. My deep understanding of the healthcare sector and experience in building sustainable, innovative solutions are valuable assets for the Board. I also bring invaluable lessons of product development and sales in cutting edge technology like GenerativeAI – we learned tremendously with a failed attempt of a learning GenAI platform called Learnly (learnly.dev). My extensive experience in executing large-scale digital projects at all levels (local, provincial, national and international) in all healthcare settings (acute, rehab, long-term care, mental health, paediatric) and advocating for innovation would be invaluable to the board.

While I have not previously volunteered with Digital Health Canada, I am eager to dedicate my strategic vision and digital health expertise to support and advance the organization’s mission.
What other board appointments or relevant leadership experiences have you had in the past five years?
As a board member of Hoopo Canada (a not-for-profit organization focused on helping the impoverished become self-sustaining communities) I helped them develop their strategy, increase their outreach 100x (grew their members, supporters and donors from 50 to 5,000) and helped scale their model and beneficiaries from 1 village to 5 villages where the lives of over 8,000 families have been transformed into self-sustaining communities.

Aligned with Digital Health Canada, my entrepreneurial spirit and front-line experiences—as both a healthcare professional and a patient advocate—have given me a comprehensive view of our healthcare system’s challenges. I am deeply committed to excellence, cherish diversity, and am passionate about employing technology to enhance healthcare for all Canadians. Electing me would broaden our collective reach.
