June 20, 2024 – Toronto – The results of the Digital Health Canada Board of Directors election were announced yesterday at the association’s Annual General Meeting, held virtually. 11 candidates stood for election to five open Board positions. 883 Digital Health Canada members participated in the online election, and the following candidates were elected.
- Dr. Samina Raza Abidi, Professor, Dalhousie University
- Chris Carvalho, President, Carveira Group Consulting Inc.
- Sophia Hoosein, MyHealth Records Manager, Government of Alberta (Alberta Health)
- Duska Kennedy, VP Strategy, Digital Health and Chief Digital Officer, North York General Hospital
- Julia Zarb, Founder and CEO, Blue x Blue Inc.
The first meeting of the new Board of Directors took place immediately following the virtual Annual General Meeting. Board members elected Chris Carvalho as President and Board Chair; Anne Forsyth, Vice-President; and Wendy Tegart, Secretary-Treasurer. Cassie Frazer will replace departing board member Shannon Malovec as Past-President
