The network, consisting of 34 facilities covering the entire continuum of care, provides timely and person-centric care to over 700,00 people annually. Within the CIUSSS and its hub, Jewish General Hospital, she conceptualised, founded and now heads the Connected Health Innovation Hub – OROT ( https://orot-jgh.org/ ).

OROT has a mandate to guide the way to the new era of care – a future in which health will be created, managed, and restored wherever the patient is (strategy known as Care Everywhere). OROT identifies opportunities, inspires, and accelerates innovation in connected health by bringing together clinicians and end users with entrepreneurs and innovators in order to build and launch new technologies that improve people’s lives. Since its inception in 2020, the hub has co-developed and helped integrate dozens of solutions which have been instrumental in addressing some of the most pressing issues such as the access to care and human resources shortage.

Before joining the CIUSSS West-Central Montreal, Ms. Kapetanovic served as Executive Director of Hacking Health, a global, grass-roots network of innovators committed to creating digital health solutions to benefit citizens, support healthcare systems, and promote economic activity. This network organized 160 hackathons in 63 cities around the world, leading to more than 1,500 innovative projects.

Previous to that, Ms. Kapetanovic served with the United Nations for close to two decades where she held various leadership positions, spearheading innovation and public-private partnerships resulting in positive and impactful change across the globe. Among her proudest accomplishments is the creation of community care centers across Northern Iraq; development and roll out of a global food assistance strategy targeting pregnant and lactating mothers and children under two, and the establishment of public-private partnership which resulted in creation of specialised food products for treatment of acute and prevention of chronic malnutrition.

Ms. Kapetanovic holds a M.Sc. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Hunter College of City University of New York, a B.A. Honours in Neurolinguistics from McGill University in Montreal, a certificate in Healthcare Innovation from Duke University and a certificate in Development of Entrepreneurship in Life Sciences and Healthcare Technology from Concordia University. She speaks five languages.

The network, consisting of 34 facilities covering the entire continuum of care, provides timely and person-centric care to over 700,00 people annually.Ms. Cohen is responsible for the planning and operational aspects of the Digital Health Directorate, which includes the management of the Medical Records Department, Enterprise Data and Business Intelligence Team, Information Security and oversight of Information Governance activities.

With an Information Management Master’s degree, specializing in IT system adoption in Healthcare, Sabine began her career as a data analyst and developer at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat and Correctional Services Canada in Ottawa, before joining the Jewish General Hospital in 2000.  From 2000 to 2009, she worked in the field of Health Informatics, Information Management and IT project management. In 2009, Ms. Cohen was appointed Chief of the Information Management Service at the Jewish General Hospital, managing projects in Data Integration and Business Intelligence. She was also actively involved in the development of the RUIS McGill Telehealth program where she was later invited as a featured speaker in a webinar series hosted by Accreditation Canada.

From 2015 to 2019, Ms. Cohen held the position of Associate Director of the Quality and Performance Directorate of the newly created CIUSSS West Central Montreal, supervising such services as Information Management and Data Governance, Information Security and Medical Records. In these responsibilities, Ms. Cohen, successfully implemented data-driven performance monitoring tools for the CIUSSS as well as the development of a CIUSSS-wide information security program and has contributed to the organization's outreach, particularly in the areas of information security where she was a member of numerous Ministerial committees representing the Montreal region in matters of health information security and integrated information systems security.

Alain’s leadership and ability to innovate resulted in the successful deployment of projects of all sizes. He has a unique capacity to sign win-win partnerships and to work closely with his clients and healthcare professionals. Among other things, Alain has contributed to the development and deployment of some innovations in the world of health, including the first provincial drug information system in Canada implemented in 2006 and sanctioned by Canada Health Infoway.

More recently, in 2020 and in the midst of the pandemic, Alain worked with the CHUM (Montreal University Health Centre) to implement an innovative solution to significantly reduce the time spent by nurses in the Covid unit on non-valued tasks such as entering and transcribing vital patient data.

Alain Larochelle, ing. MBA (il/lui) est Directeur national (Country manager) - Canada chez Enovacom, une société d’Orange (NYSE : ORAN). Ingénieur de formation, M. Larochelle a œuvré depuis le début de sa carrière (1992) dans l’industrie de la santé et dans le secteur des technologies de l’information au sein d’entreprises telles que Bell, Emergis, Telus, IMS Health (IQVIA), Purkinje et maintenant Enovacom/Orange.

Il a démontré son leadership et sa capacité d’innover et de mener à bien des projets structurants de toutes tailles en mettant sur pied de nombreux partenariats et en travaillant étroitement avec ses clients et les professionnels de santé.  Entre autres, Alain a contribué au développement et déploiement de quelques innovations dans le monde de la santé incluant le premier système provincial d’information sur les médicaments au Canada implanté en 2006 et sanctionné par Inforoute Santé Canada. Plus récemment, depuis 2020 et en pleine pandémie, Alain a implanté des solutions innovantes dans des centres hospitaliers d’envergure mondiales entre autres au Centre hospitalier de l’université de Montréal (CHUM), SickKids (hôpital pédiatrique à Toronto), et l’institut de cardiologie de Montréal (ICM).  Tous ces projets continuent d’apporter de nombreux bénéfices aux patients.

Alain contribue à l'écosystème de la santé en mentorant des talents prometteurs.  Il siège également sur le conseil d'administration de la Fondation de recherche en chirurgie thoracique de Montréal. Mais surtout, il adore passer du temps avec son épouse et ses 4 filles en assumant pleinement son statut de minorité visible au sein de sa famille (5 ♂ femmes vs 1 ♀ homme).

Dr. Julie Maranda is a bilingual family physician with work experience in both Quebec and Ontario. She brings over 25 years of experience in acute, community, urban, and rural settings. After attending McGill Medical School, she did residency at the University of Toronto where she completed fellowships in academics, in low-risk obstetrics, a Master’s in Health Science, and then went on to become the post-graduate program director for at the University Health Network.

Occupying progressive leadership positions, she was chief-of-staff since 2013, and became Vice-President of clinical operations in 2019. She has also taken on many CEO portfolios while in these roles. In her executive functions she has been through several accreditation cycles with exemplary standing, helped lead her hospital through a major construction project, supervised occupational health and infection control practices throughout the pandemic, and implemented a regional electronic medical record system in Eastern Ontario.

Dr. Maranda is a fellow of the Canadian College of Family Physicians since 2019 and graduated in 2021 from McMaster University with an executive MBA specialized in digital transformation. As the Chief Medical Officer for Accenture Canada, she is working as a consultant supporting innovation across the health care sector.

AlayaCare’s purpose is to enable the type of care that we would all want our loved ones to receive at home rather than in a hospital or long-term care facility. By combining virtual care tools with the supporting software for in-person homecare, AlayaCare is leading the industry through a transition from fee-for-service to value-based care.

Adrian is a serial technology entrepreneur. Prior to AlayaCare, Adrian built two mobile software companies, both of which were leaders in their respective markets before being acquired. Adrian is an active Angel Investor and sits on the boards of several companies including fast growing technology firms.

In 2016, Adrian received the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Emerging Entrepreneur category in Quebec, and, more recently, AlayaCare has been named a Deloitte Technology Fast50 winner 4 years in a row, securing the #37 position in 2022 and the 17^th spot on the 2021 Start-up 50 ranking of Canada’s Top new Growth Companies as published by Canadian Business and Maclean’s.

Adrian is the co-founder of the Madiro, a charitable organization created to support innovative solutions to the health problems in low-income countries. He holds a Master of Applied Science from the University of Toronto and Bachelor of Engineering from Queens University.

Her background is extensive - she has led the development and implementation of many health transformation projects, innovations and partnerships. Mary Lou joined SE Health early on in her nursing career, and she has augmented her clinical background with a graduate business degree and significant experience with health informatics and technologies. Mary Lou has a passion for innovation combined with a desire to advance care by creating innovative service models supported by digital health technologies leading to a future that will provide a personalized, accessible, meaningful health experience for individuals, their families and the service providers that support them.

Most recently Mary Lou has coauthored two books: The Future of Aging and The Rebel Nurse Handbook: Inspirational Stories by Shift Disruptors.

Excels at leading and mobilizing large teams, overseeing the development of their skills and leveraging best practices and continuous improvement.

Mr. Delisle is a head of multiple departments at Virtuose Technologies such as: R&D, product, client success, marketing, and finance. He is leading all client implantations and he ensures their success. As a patient centric visioner, he listens from all field feedbacks to continuously improve their solutions. According to him, technologies are part of the solution but not the solution. The largest part comes from the acceptability of technology by clinical stakeholders and patients. To successfully complete an innovative project, stakeholders must have the desire to change things. Change management is the key! Managers have to believe and support it.
