Sr Advisory Consultant – Strategic Planning for Healthcare Association

Contract Duration: 12 months
Location: Remote with occasional travel (as needed)
Overview: Tectonic Advisory Services, on behalf of our client, is seeking an experienced Sr Advisory Consultant to lead the organization’s 5-year strategic roadmap for a healthcare association. The successful proponent will assist in developing an innovative and inclusive strategic plan, with a focus on engaging patients, staff, and the community. This plan will guide the organization’s direction for the next five years and help advance redevelopment efforts, create new partnerships, and redefine the association’s regional role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning Process: Design and recommend a process for the development of the association’s vision/purpose statement, values, and strategic directions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Advise on and facilitate a comprehensive engagement process with internal and external stakeholders, including patients, staff, and community members.
- Environmental Scan: Conduct an environmental scan and analysis to inform strategy development.
- Facilitation: Lead key engagement sessions and other input-gathering opportunities, ensuring diverse participation.
- Data Analysis: Assist with the analysis of stakeholder feedback and data to co-create the strategic plan.
- Deliverables Preparation: Help draft the digital strategic plan, including the mission/vision/purpose statement, key priorities, and a Year 1 strategy map with performance indicators.
- Best Practices Guidance: Provide expert counsel to the Leadership Team on strategy development.
Project Governance: The President & CEO will oversee the strategic planning process, with final approval by the Board. The Board’s Governance Committee will provide oversight, ensuring alignment with community needs and collaboration with other healthcare providers.
Proponent Proposal Requirements: Proposals must include:
- Work Plan: Outline of the methodology for conducting the environmental scan and stakeholder engagement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Approach to engaging diverse stakeholders and ensuring widespread participation.
- Timeline: Detailed project timeline.
- Key Resources: Identification of the team and key resources to be involved in the project.
- Sample Work: Sample strategic plans previously developed, with a summary of the proponent’s role in the process.
