The Lumeo initiative is a step towards developing an outcomes-based system supported through regional health information management. Lumeo, which is derived from lumen, is the Latin word for light. Lumeo speaks to the unifying power of light and clarity that will improve outcomes for everyone providing or receiving care in Southeastern Ontario. The formal Lumeo team came together in October 2021 and will provide leadership for the implementation of the Regional Health Information System (RHIS) project across the six partner organizations. This implementation will mark the starting point for the digital enablement of massive health care transformation within the region.

The Position

Reporting to the Regional Vice President, Lumeo is seeking a visionary and dynamic Regional Director, Digital Health Systems to lead the implementation of the Lumeo operations strategy through the effective operation of the Regional Hospital Information System (RHIS) and associated third-party systems. This pivotal leadership role involves close collaboration with CIOs, Clinical Executives, and Directors across the partner organizations to ensure system-wide integration, operational efficiencies, and optimization efforts that directly impact patient care delivery across the South East Hospital Cluster. This role is an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of healthcare in Southeastern Ontario, leaving a lasting impact on the communities served. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a track record of operational excellence and strategic innovation in technology systems. The candidate will ideally have strong knowledge of clinical system operational needs including ancillary support services, hospital and health system clinical processes, and clinical systems/applications as well as strong knowledge of the System Development Lifecycle with the ability to advise on and guide the design, implementation, and sustainment of effective clinical processes and systems that enable hospital clinical strategic transformation and operational goals.
