Prior to Nuance, Dr. Conant served as the president and founder of Conant and Associates, Inc. which was acquired by Nuance in 2014. For more than eight years, CAI assisted well over 200 organizations, and trained over 10,000 providers on physician documentation solutions. Dr. Conant is an actively practicing board-certified emergency physician and Chief Medical Information Officer of Tri-City Emergency Medical Group in Oceanside, CA. He earned a B.S. in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience at the University of California, San Diego and earned an M.D at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University.

Dr. Jessa trained in Emergency Medicine at McGill University and then practiced for a number of years in the Middle East. In Saudi Arabia, he was involved in the creation of the Saudi Board of Emergency Medicine and developed his passion for informatics during an implementation of an EMR at his hospital. After returning to Canada he continued to practise Emergency Medicine both at Sickkids and North York General Hospitals and is the Chief Medical Information Officer at Sickkids. His interest lies in clinical decision support tools as a key component of patient safety and provider efficiency. He recently co-led the implementation of Epic systems EMR at Sickkids and is now actively engaged in leveraging the EMR for ongoing safety, quality and informatics work. Key strategic supporting initiatives include AI and precision child health. He leads an active provider group and Physician builder program leveraging technology and the EMR to improve outcomes.
