Why do you want to join the Digital Health Canada Board of Directors at this point in your career?
I want to help Digital Health Canada provide value for both small to medium sized businesses as well as digital health professionals as they navigate Canada’s complex healthcare system.
How does your experience align with the Digital Health Canada strategic plan and mandate?
I’ve spent 17 years in the digital health space working to create connections and rollout digital platforms. This experience is directly relevant to Digital Health Canada’s plan and mandate to encourage network growth and connections, connect digital communities, and rollout a digital platform.
What unique skills, perspectives and contributions would you bring to the Digital Health Canada Board?
As a senior executive at a medium sized healthcare vendor I can represent this valuable perspective as it is important for our private Canadian businesses to have a voice in the direction Digital Health Canada takes. Having spent many years working directly on the implementation of digital solutions in the healthcare space I can also provide valuable insights into the complexity around software installation. I also bring to the board the ability to distill key points and ideas from challenging and passionate conversations.

Volunteer Experience: CHIEF Advisory committee, Chair of the Alberta Chapter of Digital Health Canada, Part of CHIEF AI working group that produced the Report: A before B Perspectives on AI in Healthcare, Delivered a Webinar Wednesday on Holistic Referral Management. All of the items listed here were contributions to the Digital Health Canada mission by growing and enabling networking, connecting digital communities, and empowering the transfer of knowledge.
What other board appointments or relevant leadership experiences have you had in the past five years?
The two most relevant are: Alberta Health Information Exchange Board Member and Chair of the Alberta Chapter of Digital Health Canada.

As a Senior Executive at a Canadian digital health business that services the needs of 500,000+ Canadians each year I bring a valuable perspective to Digital Health Canada. I believe that Digital Health Canada can help enable companies to succeed and improve our healthcare system nationally. The voice Digital Health Canada has should represent the entire digital health community and has the ability drive change. The skills and experience I bring can not only help direct that voice to the areas where we can add the most value, but also ensure we do so in a way that can succeed.
