How does your experience align with the Digital Health Canada strategic plan and mandate?
I am confident that my extensive corporate experience and leadership skills in the healthcare industry, coupled with my passion for working with entities that value the patient relationship, make me a very strong candidate for this position. I am currently based in the United States of America with experience as the Chief Information Officer and Chief Digital Officer for hospital systems over the last eighteen years, I have had the honor of working in various healthcare organizations, both national and international. This multifaceted experience has not only given me the opportunity to witness the evolvement of the healthcare industry on a global basis, but it has also given me the ability to adapt to new working environments and overcome any potential challenges, while achieving the strategic goals of each respective organization.

I believe that my experience working in the academic medical centers, industry leading non-profit systems, pediatric specialty hospital, and for-profit health systems clearly evidences my ability to meet the criteria of a board member candidate. In addition to my career record of achievement at each organization with which I was and am employed, my experience also demonstrates: my ability to use sound judgment in guiding Digital Health Canada’s strategic direction; my understanding of corporate governance and commitment to public service; my ability to adapt to different work cultures and work with people from different backgrounds; my strong communication and management skills; and my in-depth knowledge of the healthcare technology industry. Finally, I also believe that my experience, as outlined also substantiate my skills and experience in the following: Operational Productivity; People Leadership; Digital/Technology Transformation; and Patient Staff and Consumer Engagement.
