February 2, 2021 – Delivering Mental Health Services in a Digital World (CHIEF Executive Forum C60 Event)

The CHIEF Executive Forum met virtually on Thursday, January 28, 2021 for a C60 (one-hour long) education and networking session. A panel discussion on the topic of delivering mental health services in a digital world was moderated by Karim Jessa, CMIO, SickKids. Other panelists included:

  • Julie Thurlow, Executive Director Health Services, Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, WSIB

Mark Casselman, CEO, Digital Health Canada, opened the session with a welcome to new CHIEF Executive Forum members and reaffirming the importance of mental health as a topic for discussion. The panel of thought leaders addressed questions raised by the increase in services now available online, at home, and in the workplace as well as gave their thoughts on assisting organizations in responding to employee mental health issues arising from future waves of COVID-19 infections.

The panel also took questions from the CHIEF Executive Forum members in attendance about mental health outcomes, the access that frontline staff has to resources, their thoughts on a mental health maturity model and other ways in the mental health space to support health care workers.
