What is motivating you to join the CHIEF Executive Forum Advisory Committee?
I am pleased to contribute to the CHIEF Executive Forum as an advisor to enable vibrant and thoughtful discussions to advance the future of Canada’s healthcare system. I am very excited to proactively identify opportunities for the CHIEF Executives to develop through dialogue based on our common learned experience. This past year, I have been leading a discussion with several health systems and academic health science centres across Canada to understand better what the “Winning Conditions” look like when implementing AI at the front lines. I am also motivated to learn from my colleagues and expand my understanding of the unique capabilities that are found in our healthcare organizations. Finally, I look forward to developing this Executive community of practice by sharing our learnings and best practices.
What unique skills, perspectives and contributions would you bring to the Advisory Committee?
I am a creative leader with a track record of building high-performing teams with a mandate to disrupt the status quo in healthcare. I bring a perspective grounded in the realities of implementation, informed by research and evidence and a view to redefine roles for institutions, clinicians, engaged citizens and administrative leaders. I am energized by rethinking the role of the patient and the use of enabling technology to drive better health outcomes and sustainability.
