What is motivating you to join the CHIEF Executive Forum Advisory Committee?

I’m motivated to join the CHIEF Executive Forum for a few reasons:

  1. I was lucky enough to be a CHIEF Executive Forum member in the past and was able to learn a tremendous amount from my peers and participate in a number of white papers and events that allowed me to share with and learn from others. I’m hopefully being on the Executive Forum will continue to offer those kinds of experiences.
  2. I would be participating from the vendor perspective, helping to ensure that the CHIEF membership is meaningful for the CHIEF members at large. Getting value out of the membership is as important for the public and private members and I want to help ensure that continues to be the case.
  3. The opportunity to network with other leaders across the country is of huge value to me. Learning about what is happening across the country throughout healthcare IT and more broadly healthcare, especially as we all dig into the AI-era and the monumental change that is bringing about in healthcare.

What unique skills, perspectives and contributions would you bring to the Advisory Committee?

I bring a varied background to the table – bedside nursing, clinical education, implementation, leadership and business development. All of these varied skills combine to give me a unique perspective on the Canadian healthcare space and I believe all of those skills and experiences help me to provide guidance and more importantly be open to new ideas and opinions about what is most meaningful for leaders across healthcare in Canada.
