Digital Health Canada is undertaking a refresh of the Health Informatics Professional (HIP) Competencies to ensure they reflect the evolving skills, roles, and practices in today’s digital health landscape. Your input will help identify which competency areas remain relevant, which need updating, and what new competencies are required for the future workforce.

The survey should take 15-20 minutes to complete, depending on your familiarity with the competencies. All responses are confidential and will be used only for this project.

1.0 Demographics and Perspective

1.0 About You (Demographics + Perspective)

Your answers in this section will help us understand the lens through which you view the competencies.
2.0 Domain Level Review

The current HIP Competencies are organized into seven domains. In the following sections, we ask you to review each domain and its associated competency statements. For each domain, please indicate whether specific competency statements are still appropriate as written or require change, and provide an overall rating for relevance, clarity, and usability.

You do not need to be familiar with every competency—please select “Unsure / cannot assess” where appropriate.
