EMR Integration Technical Lead

The EMR Integration Technical Lead, will work collaboratively with EMR vendors and other delivery partners, to drive technical objectives for EMR integration initiatives. EMR integration initiatives seek to demonstrate mature use of EMRs, improved clinical and practice outcomes and an assessment of change management impacts in preparation for broader provincial deployment

Working closely with other teams within the Technology & Integration department, your responsibilities will be:
• Coordinating and ensuring architectural alignment of OntarioMD’s certified EMR Offerings to technology requirements for EMR integration
• Developing and managing scope of work for EMR integration initiatives including procurement, schedule, and deliverable management
• Managing relationships with EMR vendors and system delivery partners for technology alignment throughout EMR integration initiatives
• Advocating on the principles of OntarioMD’s EMR Certification
• Working closely with the OntarioMD Product and Delivery program and other delivery partners to ensure the EMR integration objectives remain aligned with broader program/project objectives

Requirements that are important to us:
• Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Health Administration and/or Information Technology or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years of direct experience working as a technical lead in the Ontario digital health care sector, preferably with emphasis on Community Care, EMR vendors, and EMR products
• Experience leading technology projects through its development life cycle (DLC)
• Experience managing stakeholders in advancing technology solutions is required
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in complex, multi-stakeholder healthcare environments
• Knowledge or experience with healthcare related architectural concepts including messaging standards, privacy and security, interoperability, etc.
• Knowledge or experience with the Ontario EMR Certification Program
• Broad understanding of the Ontario EMR landscape and integration with Ontario EHR Solutions and Services is an asset
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written including the ability to adapt to the needs of a variety of audiences
• Experience in development of project artefacts such as project Charter, Statement of Work, agreements, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic / fast paced environment, establish priorities and meet tight deadlines
