About Digital Health Canada

Digital Health Canada is a Canadian not-for-profit professional association with over 5,000 members across the country. Our members are a diverse community of accomplished, influential professionals working to make a difference in advancing healthcare through information technology.

Members are supported by the Digital Health Canada National Office team. Together, the team develops and delivers the networking and professional development programs that create value for our members: events and webinars, education and certification, and thought leadership. Team members work remotely, collaborating through online chat, virtual conferences, and weekly team meetings.

Overview of the position

As Education Coordinator, you will work with the Manager, Education on the following items:

  • Track and manage Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems – Canada (CPHIMS-CA) credential holders to monitor usage and raise credential profile
  • Collaborate with our credential-administrating partner in information exchanges about exam writers, credential holders, credential renewal, discount codes, and exam sitting dates
  • Create and present reports of education course sales, resource material inventory and sales, Learning Management System users, exam writers, and credential holders
  • Track and manage our Continuing Education Provider partners and ensure deliverables are met
  • Track exam administration to ensure registrants are informed about exam details and results
  • Assist with other education portfolio tasks as assigned

As Program Coordinator, you will manage a new online community plarform and the members who will use it. Tasks include:

  • Identify, contact, onboard, connect, and support Digital Health Canada members interested in participating in Communities of Action (CoAs) in the community platform
  • Establish, monitor, and support CoAs as they work toward production of their deliverable (a report, study, or paper)
  • Coordinate with Marketing Manager to ensure deliverables are launched, announced, shared, and tracked

Requirements

The successful candidate must be able to hit the ground running and be ready to fully support the Digital Health Canada member community. The ideal candidate possesses:

  • University or college degree
  • 3-years demonstrated experience in education program development, volunteer coordination, or committee management at a Canadian association
  • Experience supporting the delivery and success of digital communities and/or member groups online
  • Strong business communication/plain language writing skills
  • Proven MS Office skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and mindset (this is a must for our small but mighty team!)
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently at home (you have a dedicated workspace with reliable wifi, cell phone, and solid time management skills)
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/responsibilities.
