The Digital Health Canada Board Development Committee invites members in good standing to put their names forward for one of five (5) positions on the Board of Directors. This includes two (2) incumbent Directors who are eligible and seeking re-election as part of the process.
Successful candidates will join the Board to provide strategic governance and oversight of Digital Health Canada’s initiatives. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about advancing both the association and the digital health industry in Canada.

Digital Health Canada is a member-supported, not-for-profit professional association that connects, inspires, and empowers individuals enabling digital healthcare across Canada. We:
- Connect Canadian digital health leaders with international peers and leading practices
- Foster networking and community connections
- Bring together ideas from across the ecosystem for collaboration, innovation, and advocacy
- Support professional development at both individual and organizational levels
- Advocate for the digital health sector nationally
Board members provide strategic oversight, advice, and guidance to the management team, ensuring that organizational priorities are achieved and risks are appropriately managed.
Directors also contribute actively through participation in Board standing committees, where much of the Board’s detailed work is advanced.
Together, these contributions ensure that Digital Health Canada remains a strong, respected, and sustainable organization.

- Board governance experience, including risk management
- Clinical or healthcare delivery experience
- Experience supporting professional and career development
- Experience implementing AI and other emerging or innovative digital health technologies

- Experience advancing equity and improving access for underserved or equity-deserving populations, including Indigenous communities
- Government relations or public policy experience
- Financial literacy, and/or marketing and communications expertise

Term of Office
The vote to approve the candidate slate will take place on June 24, 2026, at the Annual Members Meeting.
Successful candidates will begin their term immediately and serve a three (3)-year term. Directors in good standing are eligible for re-election for one (1) additional three-year term, in accordance with the by-laws.
Primary Duties
Board members are expected to:
- Attend and actively participate in Board meetings (2 – 3 in-person meetings and 3-4 virtual meetings annually)
- Serve on, and contribute to, at least one Board Standing Committee (minimum four meetings per year)
- Prepare for meetings and contribute to informed decision-making
- Act as ambassadors for Digital Health Canada and its mission
