Why is this role important?
The Specialist, is responsible for performing activities related to the support and ongoing enhancement of CSS applications. These activities include: assisting with the gathering and analysis of business requirements and client feedback; contributing to the development of product assessments to inform the evolution of CSS product assessments and roadmaps; product testing; and contributing to the development of standard processes while considering the importance of data quality, data integrity and data security for CSS applications. The Specialist assists the Team Lead in preparing annual operational plans and other program area documentation such as monthly metrics.
We have 2 contract roles available with this team.
What you’ll do
- Advises on all CSA products (i.e. AMS, eStore, Vendor License Products, eQuery, CRM, LMS) and how they are being used by internal and external clients, and understands the integration between CSA products.
- Participates and contributes to the future vision, strategy and prioritization activities related to CSs products. Advises on competing factors such as CSS team objectives, resource capacity and demands from various clients and key stakeholders.
- Develops stakeholder communications, deployment planning, risk identification and mitigation, user guides or product documentation and status updates.
- Oversees the development and maintenance of a master test plan and test cases that cover quality assurance, integration, user acceptance and regression testing.
- Facilitates operational and logistical aspects related to projects; ensures appropriate management of risks, schedule and scope. Anticipates potential problems and works with project team to find solutions. Escalates issues as required and obtains approvals for changes to scope or timelines.
- Supports the maintenance and update of CSS product roadmaps and product status reports by following up on action items and decisions arising from CSS team meetings and stakeholder meetings.
- Develops and delivers presentations related to CSS products and processes including quality assurance, integration, user acceptance and regression testing.
- Develops and maintains collaborative cross-functional partnerships with various internal business stakeholders (including presentation materials) to identify, analyze and document business requirements and user acceptance criteria.
- Provides trouble-shooting support such as client support triage, product development, enhancement, and deployment activities (including testing).
- Keeps abreast of current issues in areas related to access and authentication management and client experience and shares and implements best practices as appropriate.
- Review and update documentation on current team operational and support processes associated with CSS products.
- Participates in other related duties and projects as required.
What you’ll bring to the table
- University degree or college diploma in a business-related field, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in the process of development and enhancement of applications including testing and creating documentation.
- Experience in identifying and documenting business requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in project/program coordination within a large multidisciplinary team (GAANT, Kanban, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience in identifying, establishing and/or continuously improving administrative and project/program management processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Experience using team collaboration and tracking tools such as Confluence and JIRA, would be an asset.
- Basic understanding of information management tools and processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills
- Outstanding organizational, planning and time management skills with an ability to understand details and effectively manage competing demands.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Self-directed, innovative, and able to work with minimal supervision, while working effectively within a large team.
- Fluency in English is required, bilingualism in both official languages is an asset.
