This mixed method study explores what physicians truly need from their EMRs versus what they find unacceptable\, through a provincial study and specialty-specific focus groups. By identifying priority functionalities and key design gaps\, this work offers evidence-based insights to inform EMR redesign\, interoperability initiatives\, and physician-centred digital health strategies.
