SUMMARY:CHIEF Executive Forum Fall Networking Reception
DESCRIPTION:Join fellow CHIEF members for an evening of candid conversation about the decisions shaping Canadian healthcare. Meet colleagues beyond the usual digital health circle\, share what your organization is wrestling with\, and help identify the priorities CHIEF should bring forward in January and beyond. \nDigital transformation now touches clinical operations\, workforce\, finance\, quality\, strategy\, and system performance. This fall\, we’d like to bring more of those perspectives into the room. \nPublic-sector CHIEF members are invited to bring an executive colleague whose role is increasingly shaped by digital\, data\, or AI\, but who does not typically attend digital health events. They might lead clinical operations\, quality\, strategy\, finance\, nursing\, medicine\, or another portfolio. \nConsider inviting someone with whom you regularly make decisions involving digital\, data\, AI\, or technology. \nTo register an executive colleague\, please contact chief@digitalhealthcanada.com \n

SUMMARY:Virtual Health Care 101: Improving Digital Health Literacy through Community Workshops
DESCRIPTION:This webinar will share outcomes from the Virtual Healthcare 101 (VHC 101) pilot\, a library-based digital health literacy initiative co-designed with patient and community partners and delivered by the Virtual Care Program at London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph’s Health Care London. \nAs healthcare increasingly shifts to digital-first models\, equity-deserving populations continue to face barriers related to digital literacy and awareness of virtual care options. VHC 101 addresses a vital question: How do we ensure that the future of healthcare includes everyone in a system that is increasingly relying on digital tools? Using a co-design methodology alongside our community and patient partners\, we created a 90-minute workshop designed to introduce community members to virtual healthcare and digital system tools and resources to help improve participants’ knowledge of and comfort with accessing virtual care. \nThe presentation will highlight key findings from the initiative\, including measurable improvements in participant comfort with technology and understanding of virtual care options\, insights from library partners\, and six key drivers of digital inclusion identified through the pilot. The session will also explore lessons learned and the ways in which we are building out the program to ensure that the future of healthcare truly works to bridge the digital divide. \nOctober Webinar Wednesdays are sponsored by Quest Diagnostics
