New modules are eligible for Continuing Education (CE) credits
January 5, 2022 – TORONTO – Digital Health Canada today announced the availability of ten new Microsoft Virtual Training Days courses for Digital Health Canada members interested in accumulating Continuing Education (CE) units or hours to be used towards Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems – Canada (CPHIMS-CA) certification renewal.
As a Digital Health Canada Continuing Education Provider, Microsoft education offerings have met meticulous standards for curriculum quality and value. Digital Health Canada is pleased to be able to offer members an updated set of learning modules in partnership with Microsoft.
“Microsoft and other Continuing Education Providers understand that certified digital health professionals need regular skills upgrades to stay at the top of their field and grow the profession,” said Mark Casselman, CEO, Digital Health Canada. “These new courses will benefit members looking for professional growth and development opportunities as well as CPHIMS-CA certification. They also serve as key learning resources and opportunities for professionals coming from other industries—financial services, technology, and retail health—and working to transform health service delivery.”
Microsoft Virtual Training Days are monthly virtual training events hosted and moderated by certified Microsoft instructors for Canadian healthcare IT professions looking to skill up on foundational concepts in cloud services, artificial intelligence, hybrid work, security, and low code platforms.
Learners who attend specially designated “Fundamentals” Training Days will receive a corresponding Microsoft Exam Voucher to take the corresponding Microsoft Certification Exam at no cost.

- Microsoft Virtual Training Day: Introduction to Microsoft Viva
- *Microsoft Virtual Training Day: Security, Compliance & Identity Fundamentals
- *Microsoft Virtual Training Day: Dynamics 365 (CRM) Fundamentals
- *Microsoft Virtual Training Day: Power Platform Fundamentals
*Complimentary Microsoft Exam Voucher will be awarded to virtual attendees to take the corresponding Microsoft Certification Exam. (i.e., Microsoft Virtual Training Day: Azure Fundamentals attendees will receive a voucher to take the Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification exam at no cost.)
