Access to a variety of volunteer opportunities is one of the benefits of Digital Health Canada membership. Volunteering builds experience, contributes to your professional development and learning, and helps you expand your network. Volunteer opportunities include: event correspondent, event planning committee member, content development (write an article or blog), teaching, exam content development, course content development, award adjudicator, abstract reviewer, webinar presenter, session moderator, and more.

Digital Health Canada’s mission to connect, inspire, and empower digital health professionals comes to life at our events. Digital Health Canada events (regional and national, live and virtual) connect the digital health professionals who are creating the future of health in Canada, offering networking; inspiring speakers and presenters; and the empowerment that comes with continuous learning and professional development.

If you are a Digital Health Canada member in the first seven years of your healthcare, healthcare information/data, or health-related IT career (i.e., an ‘Emerging Professional’), you can become a Volunteer Event Correspondent. You will need excellent communication, written, and analysis skills; the ability to take notes quickly, and a professional demeanour.

Volunteer Event Correspondents work with the Digital Health Canada events team to attend to key events and write brief reports that we will post on our website—with your name as author. You will: learn something new, gain experience and exposure, and enjoy free access to excellent industry events. We want your fresh perspective on our event content!

If you are a member and would like to volunteer as an Event Correspondent, please use the link below to login to our member site and complete the application.
