Access to a variety of volunteer opportunities is one of the benefits of Digital Health Canada membership. Volunteering builds experience, contributes to your professional development and learning, and helps you expand your network. Volunteer opportunities include: event correspondent, event planning committee member, content development (write an article or blog), teaching, exam content development, course content development, award adjudicator, abstract reviewer, webinar presenter, session moderator, and more.
Each year, Digital Health Canada receives dozens of nominations for our annual awards:
- The annual Digital Health Canada Awards offer six categories in which to recognize Canadian digital health leaders and innovators.
- The annual Women Leaders in Digital Health Awards celebrate the top ten female visionaries who are harnessing the power of IT to transform health and healthcare in Canada today.
- The Steven Huesing Scholarship is awarded annually to a student enrolled in a Health Informatics or related program at an accredited post-secondary institution.
Nominations are received online and assessed and ranked by a revolving committee of adjudicators.
