Michelle is an obvious candidate for this award as she has made a significant contribution in moving digital health and virtual care forward in Saskatchewan, is recognized by her peers and colleagues as a thoughtful, inspired leader and expert in digital health, she has influenced health outcomes of patients and health system outcomes and is tirelessly dedicated to the work in SHA Digital Health.
Michelle’s unwavering support of digital health and the advancements of virtual care, analytics, and system sustainability has made Saskatchewan healthcare more accessible, equitable, stronger and safer for patients. In partnership with clinical and business stakeholders, external partners and providers, Michelle has lead a team that has implemented new systems and processes in record time, leaving lasting changes on the way that business is conducted within the organization. Michelle has influenced health outcomes of patients by using technology as a tool of empowerment and inclusiveness for patients and their families to have control over their care and for the system to respond to the needs of the patient.
Michelle’s confidence as a leader has paved a path for her team to succeed, breaking down silos to bridge the gap and advance innovative system thinking. Her inspired thinking has led her team to increase capacity of the system, deliver care closer to the patient’s home and for broad digital health enablement. Michelle is a motivational leader that is significantly changing outcomes for citizens of Saskatchewan and inspires others to understand how impactful we all can be to empower, drive innovation and encourage change for better outcomes.
