Why do you want to join the Digital Health Canada Board of Directors at this point in your career?
I am a dynamic IT executive with over 20 years of expertise in delivering results within all areas of IT, in particular, digital solutions. I have served on several professional boards as a volunteer. As a professional engineer, I believe in continual professional development and helping where I can. Digital Health Canada’s values of sharing knowledge with peers and learning align directly with my personal and professional values. It will be an honor to be part of the board and add value in driving the vision forward.
How does your experience align with the Digital Health Canada strategic plan and mandate?
As part of the senior leadership team at Digital Health, Shared Health I am responsible for providing leadership, strategy, expertise, and guidance to staff and management team for effective Digital Solutions delivery. Throughout my career, I have worked on initiatives that made a difference in advancing healthcare through information, technology, and data management.
What unique skills, perspectives and contributions would you bring to the Digital Health Canada Board?
I have a diverse background in all areas of IT solution delivery. I am a registered professional engineer in Manitoba with a B. Sc. in Computer Engineering from the University of Manitoba. I recently completed an MBA with a specialty in Leadership & Innovation. Leadership, collaboration, professionalism, diplomacy, and innovation mindset required for the position are part of my character, professional training and experience.

What segments within the Digital Health Canada community do you feel you will best represent?
With which Digital Health Canada committees, task groups or activities have you volunteered in past five years? Describe your most significant contributions to Digital Health Canada’s mission.
I am new to Digital Health Canada. I have not had the opportunity to volunteer on any of the committees or groups.
What other board appointments or relevant leadership experiences have you had in the past five years?
Over the years I have served on professional development boards at the association of engineers in Manitoba as well as on boards of charitable organizations such as the Manitoba Riding for the Disabled. I acted as a mentor for new engineers in training. In the past five years while I have not had any direct board appointments I have been in a leadership position for over 15 years leading teams of various sizes managing large complex digital solutions.
Please tell us why you feel Digital Health Canada members should vote for you.
To be honest, I am not sure what the Digital Health Canada members might exactly be looking for in a candidate, however, if they are looking for a genuine, dynamic leader with hands-on experience in technology, leading and building high-performance teams with a diverse professional background and a candid personality with innovation mindset then they should vote for me.

I am a dynamic IT executive with over 20 years of expertise in delivering results within all areas of IT, in particular, digital solutions. For the past 15 years, I have been in various senior management roles where I had opportunities to influence executive management, key stakeholders, negotiate and manage vendor contracts, build and lead teams of various sizes and manage large complex digital solutions. As part of the executive team at Digital Health, Shared Health, I am responsible for providing leadership, strategy, expertise, and guidance to staff and management team for effective Digital Solutions delivery. A core part of my job is ensuring satisfaction to geographically-dispersed clients by providing 24/7/365 support for complex digital solutions such as the Electronic Medical Record, Electronic Home Care Record, and Public Health Information Systems to mention a few. I am really excited about the current health transformation and the resulting digital solutions landscape in Manitoba. I love having the opportunity to collaborate, learn, influence, and share with others. I am looking forward to learning and collaborating with my peers through the Digital Health platform. It will be an honor to be part of the board to contribute, add value, and advance the vision of sharing knowledge and making a difference in healthcare using information technology.
